easy to follow wedding planner you just can't go wrong.

months before the wedding
- Choose a
date - decide whether
you want a spring or summer wedding. However don't rule out a
winter wedding as you can pick up some excellent bargains, because
the wedding season is not at its peak.

How much will it cost - decide who pays for what.
The sooner this is made clear the better.

The venue - make sure there is plenty of room for the
whole of your extended family as well as their neighbors. Make
sure there is plenty parking and its easy accessible.

Invitations - decide who you want at your wedding draw
up a list and don't forget to cross 'and family' unless you want
to triple your guest list.
9 months
before the wedding

Colours - decide on the color scheme. This will break
things down when purchasing decorations, flowers etc.

Flowers - what kind will you need - table arrangements,
bouquets, garlands visit every florist you know.

Have your cake and eat it - talk to you baker, look
at designs, decide what would go down a treat sponge or fruit.

Music - Book a DJ well in advance as they do get busy
during the wedding season. Many offer lights, smoke machines and
indoor firework displays.
5 months
before the wedding

Bridal wear - decide on
what kind of outfit you want, what color and who'll design it
for you. They will help you to decide what shade of the color
you have chosen suits you best. Have a proper fitting and see
your designer as often as possible to avoid disappointments.

Bridegroom wear - Make sure to go for a fitting as
soon as you've decided whether you want a traditional sherwani
or suit.

Beauty - By now you should have consulted a beautician,
follow any advice they may give you and chose your makeover and
hair style.

Decorations - By now you should have decided on a theme
whether its flowers or balloons and also the color.

Glorious food - The bride and groom come second to
food - decide what you want. You may have vegetarians to cater
for.

Honeymoon - Give this just as much importance as it
is often left to the very last minute. Finalize where you are
going and where you are staying.
3 months before the wedding

Diamonds are forever - By now the bride should have
chosen the type of jewelry she wants if it is being made she will
need to order it now so any alterations can be made.

Make sure you have ordered your wedding rings.
2 months
before the wedding
- Accessories
- these are the things that are overlooked. Make sure you purchase
the essentials like lipstick, purse, mirror and handkerchiefs.

Finalize your agreements between the photographer,
videographer, DJ, beautician etc. make sure you get written confirmation.
4 weeks
before the wedding day

Go for your final wedding
outfit fittings just to make sure it fits perfectly.

Honeymoon - Get your suitcases packed.

Diary of events - make a diary giving yourself half
an hour between each appointment.
1 week
before the wedding

Final fittings - make sure
it fits like a glove - its not too late to make adjustments.

Paying - Make sure you hand any outstanding money
that needs paying to the professionals to a responsible person
so you know the bills will be settled.

Finalize the invitation list and provide the caterer
with the number attending the wedding. Remember its ok to be 10
over but never let it be 10 under.

If you have any out of town guests organize their transportation
and accommodation.
