A-Z ON YOUR FUTURE 

A is for Advice - Get as much of this as you can from wherever you can. 

B is for Build - Build relationships with everyone from the tutor to your neighbour. 

C is for Choices - There's loads of them out there make sure you make the right one. 

D is for Decision - If only it was as easy as blind date - take your time but make sure you make it in time for enrolment etc. 

E is for Environment - Make sure it's a happy one or you'll find yourself looking for tiny excuses not to be there. 

F is for Financial Aid - You may be entitled to this so find out. 

G is for Goals - Set yourself some goals and when you reach them treat yourself to something you've had your eye on! 

H is for Homework - Get it done on time - It pays back later on in life. 

I is for Internet access - If it available it's great. You'd be surprised what you can find on the net. 

J is for Job search - Keep your options open if you find something you fancy - go for it! The worse thing that can happen is they say no - don't take it personal just put it down to experience. 

K is for Knowledge - Look high look low you will require it wherever you go. 

L is for Library - Make sure this is the place you study, revise etc. all your information under one roof and help is on hand looking for it. 

M is for Money - well you know what they say it makes the world go round - (it's true) 

N is for NVQ's - These are great for the people out there who are still not so sure. (Or haven't got their grades!) 

O is for Open evenings - This is one thing you have to do - your chance to find out about courses, facilities and a chance to talk to other students on the course 

P is for Parents evenings - We all dread this time in the year but look at it this way if you are doing well it's a good time to bribe them because chances are they will be pleased with you and will give you anything you want. 

Q is for Qualifications - Make sure you get yourself some of these - they do come in very handy in life. 

R is for Resume - Put one together and update it as soon as you have something to add on. (No that doesn't include hobbies) 

S is for Self-confidence - in order for others to have confidence in you - you need to have confidence in yourself. 

T is for Teamwork - Not only is this the time to make friends but also bounce ideas off each other. You know what they say two heads are better than one!! 

U is for Unions - if you go to college or university join as many of these as you can. You will find yourselves getting discounts from everywhere. Oh yeah and the trips out are alright too! 

V is for Voluntary work - it shows you're prepared to put in the hours. 

W is for Work experience - This is the ultimate - you may have to work for free but it looks good on your CV 

X is for Xpectations - you must have certain expectations from yourself and the career you choose. 

Y is for Youth clubs - A great chance to clear your head during breaks and the lunch hour. 

Z is for Zzzzzzzzz - Sleep. A tired person is not an efficient person.
