In a highly flexible and deregulated market the the business environment changes quickly. An efficient way for an organisational unit to quickly gain access to key competency is to co-operate with other organisational units , with customers and with vendors and allied companies. For continuous improvement of the ability to co-operate carefully chosen indicators are measured according to a formulated plan. Examples of co-operation indicators are:
 
  • Resources invested in co-operation and joint activities
  • Number of joint activities per organisational unit
  • Number of joint projects involving other business area groups
  • Employees' attitude about co-operative activities
  • Number of joint project with customers
  • Number of joint projects with vendors or partners
  • Number of training/education days for customers
