Lena Norberg

I am a lecturer at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University/Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. I am responsible teacher for the courses headlined below. My major is human-computer-interaction.

I am also Information Manager and Student Councelor.

Labb5 - Labb 5 på kursen Proto

This a laboration at the course Protoyping.

ITK - Construction of Communicative Systems

This course is about construction of communication systems, e.g. CMC and CSCW.
It is divided in one theoretical part and one practical part where theory should be used. In the practical part the students construct a system for human computer mediated communication. The design of this system should be argumented for and motivated by the presented theories. The theory focus on Communication Theory using Fiske (1999) as literature, and on graphical design. Further information is in Swedish language.

Privis - Principles for Visualisation

This course presents basic principles for Information Visualisation. Two group assignments are done: 1) a 2-dimensional visualisation regarding multiple parameters or variables; 2) an interactive system for visualisation, within an pre-defined area. An individual deepening assignment is also done within an area of students interest, this might be modified depending on the amount of students participating in the course.

MM-DKT - Design of Communicative Systems

During this course we are concerned with two areas of interest: System Development and Communication Theories. The goal is to create a system for Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) and Cooperative Work (CSCW) using Communication Theories as foundation and System Development in practice. This is done within a student project. Further information is in swedish language.

INT3 - Methodology for Design of Multimedia and Interactive Systems

In this course students design and construct an Interactive Multimedia System based upon a given exhibition at a museum in Stockholm, so far Swedish Museum of Natural History. The course practice Problem Based Learning (PBL). Further information is in Swedish language.
