Greetings,

My name is Wilian Zurita, and I am a student of the program Engineering and Management of Information Systems for the Department of Computer and System Sciencies, in The Royal Institute of Technology, in Stockholm, Sweden.

Currently I am working in my thesis, a requisite to obtain my diploma. I developed a software tool that allows to perform queries to a Ontology inside the Protégé Ontology Editor. My thesis will evaluate the need for such a tool, and the ease of use of it.

In order to achieve this, Please go to the bottom of this page, and download the plugin, play around with it (look at document with examples) and provide me with feedback with the questionnaire included in the download.

Thank you very much,

Description & installation

The Visual Query Tool is a plug-in for the Protégé Ontology Editor, that allows the user to perform queries to a OWL Ontology. It works on top of the Protégé-OWL.
It was developed on Protégé 3.1.1, and the bundled version of Protégé-OWL (3.1.1).

To install it, it is only required to decompress the ZIP file and put arq.jar, jena.jar, visualquery.jar in the [PROTEGE_DIR]plugins\edu.stanford.smi.protegex.owl directory of your installation of Protégé 3.1.1

Please, send your questions or comments to visualqueryquestionnaire@gmail.com

However, please remember that filling up the questionnaire is for me a more valuable way to state your opinion of the plugin, as I can include it in my thesis. Thank you very much again!!
