Visitor Information
Getting there
The Symposium is situated in the Electrumbuilding in Kista, situated northwest of Stockholm City. Address if you come by foot: Kistagången16. Address if you come by car: Isafjordsgatan 22.
Public transportation from the center of Stockholm
From the center of Stockholm take the underground
line which goes from Kungsträdgården to Akalla, and get off at Kista Centrum
station. The trains go every 10 minutes, more frequently during rush hours,
and the ride from the center of Stockholm to Kista Centrum takes 20 minutes.
From Kista Centrum you can walk to Electrum in about 10 minutes.
Here is a map showing how to get from the Kista Centrum underground station
to the SSoMC localities.
Here is a roadmap of Kista for those who go by car.

Accomodation
There are several hotels in Kista if you want to live near the event. However, if you plan to visit some other parts of Stockholm we would recommend that you try and find a hotel or hostel nearer the city centre. The hotels in Kista are not very cheap.

Hotels in Kista
(Prices might be slightly out of date)
There are two hotels in Kista Centrum within short walking distance from Electrum:
Mr Chip,
10 minutes walking distance: Single room 1080 SEK
Phone +46-8-750 56 00 Fax +46-8-751 85 00,
Memory Hotel,
5 minutes walking distance: Single room 1190 SEK
Phone +46-8-739 07 00 Fax +46-8-793 08 00
Both hotels have the same owners, and I believe you can ask each of them
for a room in the other hotel if the one you contact is full. For both hotels,
you should say that you are visiting KTH (a university to which DSV belongs)
in order to get the prices quoted above.
