Tellus
Intro
Tellus is a live 3D view of earth made in Java J2SE 6.0 and Java 3D 1.5.0. Tellus connects to Fourmilab in Switzerland and uses data from their Earth and Moon Viewer, see here for more details. Fourmilab use in turn satellite data fetched by University of Wisconsin-Madison Space Science and Engineering Center in USA.

Functions

Starting:

Double click on the Tellus.jar file -> Program starts.

Rotation:
-
Right mouse button down + mouse movement up -> Rotate down.

Right mouse button down + mouse movement down -> Rotate up.

Right mouse button down + mouse movement left -> Rotate right.

Right mouse button down + mouse movement right -> Rotate left.

Zooming:
-
Alt key pressed + right mouse button down + mouse movement up -> Zoom in.

Alt key pressed + right mouse button down + mouse movement down -> Zoom out.

Stopping:
-
Key pressed (other than alt) -> Program exits.
