A) My background. My strengths and weaknesses

My name is Magela Cadenas, I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, 1969. At the age of 13 I moved with my family to Sweden where I finished my nine-year compulsory school. One year later I started to travel. For several years I had the opportunity to travel a lot and I enjoyed visiting news countries and learning about their cultures.
Before I turned back to Sweden, in 1993, I worked as sale manager for the English Institute Kerto S.A, in Uruguay and Chile for a couple of years. I enjoyed this job there I learned a lot and gained huge experience in the sales area.
I have also an extensive labour experience in the area of services. I have worked like waiter in different restaurants on Sweden and in other countries. That gave me a very rich social and cultural experience in different environments.

Since 1993, I reside in Sweden, permanently, with my boyfriend and twin sons. I became very interested in acquire more knowledge about computer and systems sciences, so I begun my studies at the Stockholm University.
I have studied Computer Sciences at the Stockholm University these last years and previous to this I studied Network technique and administration on Windows NT, Novell NetWare and UNIX environments.

I believe my strengths are that I am a person who can work under a lot of stress. I regard myself to be a very open minded person, ready for new challenge, especially when it comes to technology. People consider me to be a social, temperamental person who doesn’t hesitate in giving my opinion for what I think and believe in, honest and respectfully. They see me like a purposeful person and good in maintaining secrets.

My weakness points are that I can be a little bit too engage when it comes to the work, and I can lay out to much personal feelings searching the perfection of the work. 

My plans for the future are

  3. Each participant should have described their strengths and weaknesses in their appearance and also how they prefer to present things
  4. Supportive interviews. Scenarios of the future and your life projects

  6. Do you have any specific dreams

 

 

B) What I will improve in my personality

A description of what features you want to develop.

  2. Who do you want to be. Describe all possible scenarios of your future
  3. How do you think you will work
  4. How do you want people to see you and appreciate you
  5. To what extent do you have a contact with your plans
  6. Your priorities. Principles and belief systems
  7. Here the focus is on the speakers basic beliefs. Each session should result in some compact beliefs or principles.
  8. Create ranked lists:
  9. Discuss why you want to do all the things you have described
  10. Do also describe your general attitude about doing them
  11. Creating a list of activities with a priority assignment to each activity
  12. To what extent is the activity urgent. How long time will it take to complete it
  13. The final sessions should results in general principles of belief systems that shows the core of the participants mental reference system in relation to the goals of the person

I would like to improve my body language to acquire more confidence in my self during a presentation. I get very nervous during an out speaking. I do also have to practice more on my spoken English so I don’t have to think in every single word I have to say. Feeling more relived during my presentation.

  1. A description on your strong sides and your weak sides when it comes to handling people in competitive situations
  2. You will also get response on your body language

This should be done for each possible scenario (at least 3 scenarios)

You do not have to write exactly correct digrams and schemas but you need to follow the basic outline of the planning methods referred to above
There must be explicit milestones

  1. General positive feedback measures for accomplishments in life
    1. Is it really true
    2. Will anybody like it, Why would anybody want to do that
    3. How can you prove it
    4. Who is the client for using it
    5. In what way interesting
    6. I would never do it

G) Measures of success

How do you know that you are on your way towards your goals. When can you be satisfied with your progress

Measures presented at the final lecture. Present all your arguments for the success of your life project.

  1. Test all the other students concerning their status regarding your measures
  2. This seminar could preferably be carried out in groups of 4 - 6 students. Transform the schemas from seminar 4 to generalized rules and/or principles and then to measures. There should be an explicit description of how you could measure your progress day by day without applying too much energy to the measurements
