Lately there has been an increasing interest in interfaces based on touch and multi-touch interaction.
However enriching them with object tracking is a newer technology with more
capabilities and requirements, which has also been used already in commercial products and research.
In this project an interactive interface was created for working with images, video and 3D objects with gestures or by touching the surface.
The surface used for the project was a table consisted of a touch sensitive layer combined with an object tracking tablet.
The prototype has been shown also in Ericsson exhibitions in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in Volvo Ocean Race in 2009 and
in
LOVE Stockholm Festival
on June 2010.
The project was implemented using Java and Wacom technology and it was initiated and supervised by Alex Olwal.
