Summary of research activities

Håkansson's research is in knowledge based systems and knowledge management systems. The focus is supporting knowledge acquisition, knowledge modelling, programming and reengineering. Contributions include enhancing transparency for modelling and adjusting knowledge and reasoning strategies. The contrivance benefiting the users is promoting graphical representation and visualisation in the interface. Parts of the ideas are used in industry. Since 1997, Håkansson has been working with computer science research with application to human-computer interaction. The research areas are:

Ph D Thesis - research

A part of my research is the development of a graphic representation and visual modelling approach to support the knowledge acquisition process. The work is presented in detail in my Ph D thesis: Graphic Representation and Visualisation as Modelling Support for the Knowledge Acquisition Process.
