My name is Alfred Jonsson and I'm 22 years old. I come from a small village in Hälsingland called Gnarp and are now located in Uppsala. I'm currently studying Game Development (Programming) at Stockholm University.
When I'm not programming, I usually play games, go to the gym or hang out with my friends.
When I'm programming, I make games. Most often at least. I like to program in GML (Game Maker Language), Java and C++/C#, with most games beeing made in Game Maker:Studio.
I mostly make PC games, but want to make more mobile games as well.
My programming journey started 2010 when I tried to make something appear on the screen in C++. I got hooked as soon as I saw the "Hello World!" message in the console, and I've been programming ever since. I'm always learning new ways to solve problems and always try to make my own systems, for learning purposes. My first course in programming was 2011 in the second year of upper secondary school, and I'm currently taking the Game Prototyping course at Stockholm University.
I chose to study at the campus "Computer and System Scienece" at Stockholm University since they have the Game Development program. And since I like to develop games, it was a clear choise for me. The other alternatives I chose from were Game Development at Gotland, but felt that Gotland was too far away from my family and girlfriend.
