Programs that I find useful:
 
o Total Commander, file manager for windows. THE file manager for windows.
o TrueCrypt lets you encrypt files or entire hard disks.
o Firefox, nice.
o FastStone, good image viewer with a nice interface.
o Programmers File Editor. Extremely configurable. The best of all is that you can make it close when you hit the "esc" key.
o TextPad, a slightly nicer and more advanced text editor than the one above. Not free, though.
o IMAP Size. Great program for managing your IMAP mail account. If you have an IMAP mail account, that is.
