Track 3:
Services &
User Behaviour
First concrete subproject: MEET-PCC
As a first common task we will choose a meeting making system. This means that initially all the thesis topics listed below will be considered in the light of this specific application. Both theoretical and experimental studies will be conducted. The PCC community will be used as a alfa-level target for field tests. A state of the art cscw-environment will be established and maintained, including tools for videoconferencing, teleworking and a virtual learning space for the graduate school. New components will be introduced as they become available.
Specific graduate study topics for a first generation of graduate students
The following specific research and thesis topics are proposed initially. They constitute different aspects of the application project in which all allocated graduate students will participate. Some of the topics may after some study turn out to spawn into several PhD
theses.
Project organization
The basic idea is that projects within the track will have a full time project manager (postdoc) working together with the graduate students and their advisors. The project managers of the track report to the the track leader. New project proposals or change of project plans will be coordinated by the track leader and when necessary forwarded to the PCC board.
