have for three consecutive years selected Harald Kjellin as their choice as
lecturer for representatives from the industry.

University for 17 years with continuously high evaluations from students

Developing an expert system shell that was used
within university courses for five years.

Developing an editor for editing the structure
of a knowledge base.

Developing the use of knowledge networks within

courses between 1984 – 2003 at “Folkuniversitet”, i.e. the branch of the
Stockholm University that provides short evening courses. Creating seven new
university evening courses at “Folkuniversitet”, during the period 1984 - 2003

Being responsible for the continuous
pedagogical reeducation of teachers belonging to “Folkuniversitet”. This was
carried out at courses at Solbacka during three years 1998 – 2001.

Having courses for teachers at Swedish High
Schools (Gymnasier) in how to motivate students. These have been held at three
different High Schools.

Lecturing students in pedagogy at the
“Lärarhögskolan I Malmö”

Being responsible for four seminars for
teachers at the Stockholm Unviersity
·
During 1992 to 2003 Harald Kjellin has been
responsible for three to four courses annually (altogether 33 seminars) for SJF
(The Swedish Society for Journalism) in how to communicate with people in
hostile circumstances.
·
During 1995 to 2003 Harald Kjellin has
participated in five radio programs on communication theories. The programs
have been sent in the stations P1, P3 and P4.
·
Developing co-operations with other
universities concerning the use of knowledge networks. Kristianstad University
and Mälardalen University.
·
The pedagogical methods that were invented by
Harald Kjellin has been described in international publications. See Ref(17) to
Ref(30) of publications presented below.
Here is a descriptions of the positions of
responsibility and official assignments that Harald Kjellin presently holds in
relation to his scientific work at the Department of Computer and
Systems Sciences at Stockholm University and Royal Institute of Technology:

Being a teacher at higher-level courses. 50% of
full time employment.

Being a researcher and administrator of

·
Harald Kjellin initiated a system for quality
assessment of the Master Thesis program at the Department of Systems and
computer Sciences at Stockholm University. He has been responsible for
evaluating the quality of the produced theses. The system is still in use.

Responsible for the tutoring of doctoral
students. The number has varied during 2002 from five to two students.
·
Being part of the editorial board of the
“Electronic Journal of Knowledge management”. The position was assigned by Dan
Remenyi at the 15th of April, 2003.
·
Being a member of the committee for the
conference ECEL, European Conference of eLearning. Last work done was in
September.
·
Being assigned to the committee for Medical
Informatics at Stockholm University. Spring 2003.

Being assigned to the committee for quality
assurance at the Department of Systems and computer Sciences at Stockholm

1994. The theories were implemented in
prototype systems for medical informatics at the “Karolinska Hospital” during
1994.
·
1994 – 1998. The theory about constructing
experts system based on weak theory knowledge was implement in a competence
management system for the Swedish Board of Labour. Large parts of the younger
population throughout Sweden have used the system.
·
1995 and 1998. There have been several projects
with the indexing of knowledge bases together with “Ericsson Telecom
Corporation”.
·
2000. Knowledge Management theories have been
taught at “framfab AB”.
·
2002. Courses have been held at “Telia AB”
about how knowledge can be reused within the organization. They will continue
during 2003.
·
1994 – 2002. During several years there have
been seminars with the “Swedish society for journalists” concerning how risk
analysis can be applied to communication theories.
·
2002. A project with knowledge networks has been
carried out together with the company Taktil AB. The network contains knowledge
that can be distributed to personal within the health care in the rural areas
of Sweden.
·
2001 – 2003. An extensive project has been
carried out together with “Technia AB” including all of the employees at
Technia. A company providing technical database consultants for most of the
Swedish multinational companies. The project included the use of
self-regulating knowledge networks.
·
2002. Harald Kjellin was invited speaker at a conference
for the Swedish Board of quality and competence. The Board has plans to use the
methods within the various departments of the Swedish Government.

2005. Specifying a system for administrating
courses as the University college of Kristianstad.

Sudden death (Roger Holmberg) and breaks in
doctoral studies due to needed periods of work in industry (Harald Svensson and
Johan Kummeneje) created unforeseen problems for the work of the doctoral
students. Without these external
problems not caused by the research work itself there should have been three
completed doctoral theses during 2004 from three well performing doctoral
students.
In all projects presented below Harald Kjellin
has been responsible for all managerial aspects of the projects including: 1)
acquiring funding for the project, 2) being a project leader and 3) being
responsible for the budget.
·
1989 – 1994. Responsible for the development of
an expert system for guiding people in selecting an occupation. The system was
bought by the Swedish Board of Labour and was implemented in every labour office
in every major city in Sweden. A large part of all Swedish people younger than
32 years have used the system.
·
1994 – 1995. Electronic examination within
university courses. Internally funded.
·
1995 – 1998. Developing a knowledge based
competence management system for the
Swedish Board of Labour. The project was funded by The Knowledge Foundation of the Swedish Parliament (KKS). The
system was implementing the scientific results Harald Kjellin had accomplished
in his thesis. Parts of the system were a great success and was used at all
offices of the Swedish Board of Labour in all cities in Sweden. The project
involved 22 project members. The project budget was estimated 2980 000 crowns,
Half of this sum was spent within Stockholm University.
·
1997 – 1998. Developing knowledge based
matching systems for electronic trade for the Swedish Transport and Communications Research Board. The project
budget was 340 000 crowns.
·
1998 – 2000. Developing technical support for
University Education. A project sponsored by the National Agency for Higher Education. The project budget was 670
000 crowns.
·
1997 – 2003. Developing prototype systems in
co-operation with Poznan Technical University in Poland. The projects are: 1)
Data mining, 2) Crawler of the internet, 3) Java Applets for geographical
systems, 4) Clickable maps via Internet, 5) Multiple Choice questions via
Internet, 6) Knowledge bases via Internet. The projects has involved altogether
49 project members of which 39 has visited Stockholm as part of the
co-operation. The project was financed by Poznan Technical University. The work
of Harald Kjellin was not financed.
·
2001-2003. Developing “Decentralized self
regulating knowledge networks”. The project is financed by Vinnova: the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems, and is carried
out in co-operation with seven industrial partners. The complete budget was 2
940 000 crowns where 1470 000 was spent within Stockholm University.

the doctoral dissertation. The ones published before the dissertation, are
listed in the end of this CV. Only three out of 17 references below are not
from international conferences or Journals.
