Current Issues in Computer Science and Software Engineering
The purpuse of this course is to provide a student with an opportunity to investigate a current issue in computer science or software engineering, practically or theoretically, prefereably as pre-study to masters thesis writing or exjobb.
The topic, and thus the goal, is tailored individually to each student.
Individual for each student. As a side-effect, the student will be trained in designing and completing an independent assignment.
Having successfully completed at least one of the courses on the Software Construction competence track: AGILE, TEME, MOOG, IOOR or DYPL (or equivalent). Necessary prerequisites are determined based on the subject.
AGILE, DYPL, TEME, IOOR, MOOG.
Accepted proposal (1 credit), half-way report (2 credits), and final report (2 credits).
Depending on the subject.
Generally, a student may take the course only once, but exceptions to this rule can be made for motivated students with a good track-record of working individually. Such a decision is made by the head of the competence track, and the rulings are final.
