Anne Håkansson

My research area is within Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge-Based Systems, Knowledge Acquisition, Graphic Representation, Visualisation, Unified Modeling Language, Modelling Rule-Based Systems, Visual Programming, Declarative Programming, Information Networks, Meta-agents, Multi-agent systems, User-Centred Design, and Knowledge Interface.

Håkansson's research is in knowledge based systems and knowledge management systems. The focus is supporting knowledge acquisition, knowledge modelling, programming and reengineering. Contributions include enhancing transparency for modelling and adjusting knowledge and reasoning strategies. The contrivance benefiting the users is promoting graphical representation and visualisation in the interface. Parts of the ideas are used in industry. Since 1997, Håkansson has been working with computer science research with application to human-computer interaction. The research areas are:

• supporting the development of knowledge in rule-based systems
• supporting the knowledge acquisition process using graphic representation and visualisation
• illustrating and modifying the reasoning strategy by visualisation
• developing an interface - ViCoLL (visual compositional logic language)
• transferring knowledge and strategies from the expert to the end users in companies
• modelling from knowledge versus modelling from rules
• applying reverse engineering on knowledge in knowledge based systems
• using meta-Agents in multi-agent systems
• calculating optimal decision using meta-level agents for multi-agents in Networks.
• event-driven algorithm
• automatically create hierarchies
